    ABOUT Wheeler Library is an association library that serves as the public library for the town of North Stonington. The building has a rich history. Created and funded initially by the Wheeler family, the Wheeler School and Library served as North Stonington’s secondary school and public library for over forty years. Borrowing privileges are extended to all residents of North Stonington as well as to library cardholders from other Connecticut towns. OUR MISSION : Wheeler Library's mission is to bring people, information and ideas together. OUR VISION : As the heart of North Stonington, Wheeler Library strives to offer resources, programs and opportunities for engagement and enrichment that build our community.

    E-RESOURCES Hoopla - Wheeler Library has been awarded a generous grant from the North Stonington Education Foundation to bring Hoopla resources to our patrons. Borrow and enjoy audiobooks, eBooks, comics, movies, TV, magazines, or music everywhere you have a screen-your computer, your phone, your car, even your TV. hoopla syncs across all your devices, so you can stream titles immediately or whenever you're in the mood. hoopla offers more content, in more places, than any other digital library platform. Overdrive - Best-selling and award-winning fiction and nonfiction books and audiobooks as well as magazines. You may borrow up to 10 items at a time. Download the Libby app provided by OverDrive from your app store. The Lion Libraries Consortium eBook holdings consist of over 20,000 copies, while our Overdrive eAudio collection contains over 11,000 copies.     MUSEUM PASSES Wheeler Library provides passes local museums to our cardholders. Passes are available for use for two days at a time. Please call the library to inquire about the availability of each pass. These local attractions may close temporarily. Please check their websites before making the trip.. Rediscovering Games, Play, and Creativity ", invites you to try new things, learn old games, and spend time away from screens getting active, cognitive, and creative. There are so many ideas to keep you from being bored at home and right here at the library through our many programs and events, and of course, the pages of a great book! We have challenges for everyone: littles, kids, teens & and adults too! Simply register here and get started with reading challenges, signing up for programs, attending events, and possibly winning some great prizes along the way. Don't forget to take a look at our summer calendar, full of summer fun. RSVP for events you'd like to attend through our online calendar and log your reading on your tracker.
