Guided Walk with Maggie Jones - Migrating Butterflies, Insects & Birds, and the habitat they depend upon.
Take a walk at Hewitt Farm Preserve with Naturalist & former Executive Director of the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, Maggie Jones. Maggie will help us spot & identify local insects and birds, and discuss the importance of a healthy habitat, and what you can do in your own community to help these beautiful animals survive and thrive.
This will be the first program of a series in collaboration with the North Stonington Garden Glub called, Gardening Year Round. We will have a new program each month, all year long.
The Garden Club will introduce you to the North Stonington Pollinator Pathway, and invite you to make a place on your property a stop for pollinators.
We will also be planning to distribute some seeds to get your Pollinator Patch started!
