e-books and audiobooks

Wheeler Library has teamed up with other Connecticut libraries to offer a wide range of e-books and magazines for the Kindle, Nook and other devices, as well as a variety of downloadable audio books. You may browse the collection without logging in, but you will have to log in with your username and pin # to check out any items. Best bet is to log in right away. Your username is your Wheeler Library barcode # and your pin # is the same one you use to log into your library account. For most people, this is your barcode number as well. If you do not know your pin #, please contact the library (860.535.0383 or wheelerlibrarystaffatgmail.com). We hope you enjoy this service.

Please click here to access the collection from our vendor, Overdrive.  A new Overdrive app, called Libby, is also very useful. Take a look here. It is especially useful if you have library cards in two different states.

We can help you get started. Please give the library a call and ask for Amy. Please note that many publishers are restricting library access to ebooks, either by not selling to the library market, restricting items available to us, or pricing e-books at a premium when selling to libraries.
