Registration for story times continues.
“Dogs, cats, and other great pets!” – Tuesdays, March 11, 18, 25, and April 1st at 10:30am. (For children ages 2 -3 years old). Mrs. G will be reading stories about families and their pets. There will be opportunities to sing some fun songs and use the felt boards for learning nursery rhymes. There will be open playtime at the end of each session. Registration is required.
“Let’s Continue our Travels Around the World!” – Tuesdays, March 11, 18, 25, and April 1st at 10:30am. (For children ages 4-6 years old). Miss Mary will be continuing her travels with books from some wonderful new places in the spring session. We’ll start off “visiting” Ireland just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day and explore some other unique places. Each week will conclude with a craft or game. Registration is required.
“Reading Together”- Thursdays, March 13, 20, 27, and April 3 at 10:30.(For babies ages 12 – 23 months). Miss Larae will introduce board books and nursery rhymes to the youngest booklovers. Each session includes books, songs, and felt boards. Parents are encouraged to stay and play together with the children.
“Mel’s Downtown Creamery Story Time” – Wednesday, March 19th at 1:00pm. To celebrate the first day of spring, we’ll be hosting a destination story time at Mel’s Downtown Creamery in Pawcatuck, CT. After some wonderful stories, children will create their own unique ice cream sundaes! The program is best suited for ages 3-5 years old. Registration is required with a $5 fee.
Mother-Daughter Book Club – March 18th at 6pm. This month we will be discussing A Cricket in Times Square. This book club is for girls 8 to 12 years old and their moms. New members welcome!
Family Movie Night: “Hotel for Dogs” (Rated PG) – Friday, March 21st at 7pm. In this dog-lover’s favorite, two foster kids secretly take in stray dogs at a vacant hotel with many adventures along the way! Complimentary popcorn will be provided by the Regal Cinema.
“Ukelele Time” Friday, March 28th at 10:30am. Mrs. Weissmuller returns to the library for another fun morning of ukulele music just in time for spring! Children ages 2-5 years old are invited to join in on the musical adventure! Registration is required.
