Week #5:  “Aquatic Animals!”

Family Science Night #5: “Fun with Physics”-  Tuesday, July 22nd   6-7:30pm. More information here

Nature Center Program #4 :  “Aquatic Critters”. Wednesday, July 23rd  at 10:30am.  The Nature Center will be bringing some hands-on materials to teach participants all about animals that live in and around water.  This program is best suited for children ages 5-10 years old.  Please register.

cupcake“Cupcake Wars” Wednesday, July 23rd at 6:30pm.   It’s time to get baking!  Participants are challenged to create their best homemade cupcakes in this unique cupcake competition. Complete rules and details will be available with registration forms. *Registration closed.

Drop In Story Time “Feel the Beach!”.  Thursday, July 24th   at 10:30am.  Mrs. G will read stories about the beach and let you feel the sand, shells, and use playdoh.! No registration is required. (3-5 year olds)

star“Star Gazing Time”.  Friday, July 25th  9:00pm.  Families are invited to attend a special star gazing event!  We will meet up at the library at 8:45pm and walk over to the middle school field for a wonderful viewing experience.  Participants will view M57 (The Ring), a planetary nebula in the constellation Lyra. We will also view M13 (The Great Cluster), a globular cluster in the constellation Hercules, which is essentially a tight ball of gravitationally bound stars.  **Registration is required.

 

Week #6:  “Summer Reading Wrap Up!”

We are wrapping up our month of great programs this week.

Family Science Night #6: “Visitor Favorites”, Tuesday, July 29th   6-7:30pm.We will have all your favorite projects out to try.

“Let’s make a Sharpie Shirt!”.  Wednesday, July 30th at 10:30am.  Bring a plain white t-shirt and we will use sharpie markers to decorate it in a tie-dye style pattern.  Registration is required with a $5 deposit.

“Welcome Back, Mr. Magic!”, Wednesday, July 30th at 6:30pm.  Mr. Magic returns to the library to entertain children of all ages.  No registration is required.  Free and open to the public.

Drop In Story Time: “Celebrate Summer!!”  Thursday, July 31st   at 10:30am.  Mrs. G will read some of her favorite stories and then provide some open playtime to do bubbles and make some music!  No registration is required.  This program is for 3-5 year olds.

SUMMER READING GRAND FINALE AND BASKET RAFFLE. Thursday, July 31st 6-8pm.  It’s time to celebrate the successful month full of books and determine the lucky readers who have won a prize basket.  The raffle will start promptly at 6pm.  Afterwards, there will be bouncing and mini golf for the entire family!
